The DR as a Regional Logistics Hub: The National Maritime and Ports Strategy

Since 2013, the Inter-American Development Bank confirmed the DR had become the hub of the Caribbean basin. By 2016 the country’s 6 main ports handled 1.5 billion TEUs, beating regional trends with an 8.3% growth rate. Please join us in this round table discussion about the steps being taken for the DR to become the Logistics Center of the Americas, capitalising on its locational advantages and the world-class connectivity allowed by its air, maritime, road and network infrastructure.

PASSENGERS ARRIVING FROM UNITED KINGDOM TO DOMINICAN REPUBLIC AERODROMES SHALL:

1. PRESENT A NEGATIVE PCR TEST CERTIFICATE NOT OLDER THAN 3 DAYS.

2. PASSENGERS WITHOUT NEGATIVE PCR TEST CERTIFICATE SHALL BE SUBJECTED TO COVID-19 TESTING ON ARRIVAL AND SHALL BE SUBJECT TO MANDATORY QUARANTINE OF 7 DAYS IN STATE SANCTIONED FACILITY AT THEIR OWN COST PENDING TEST RESULTS.
